Michelle Yeung is an audiologist, PhD student, and research assistant in audiology at the University of Montreal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience with a specialization in Neurolinguistics and a Master’s degree in Audiology. Since 2022, Ms. Yeung has contributed to research on hearing loss prevention and hearing health promotion through the project Preserving the Hearing Health of Music Students: Risks of Sound Exposure and Prevention Strategies, under the supervision of Dr. Adriana Lacerda. She presented her work at the World Congress of Audiology in France in September 2024 and at the University of Montreal’s Student Research Day in March 2024, where she was awarded the People’s Choice Award for her poster presentation. Her current research interests are focused on the promotion, prevention, and rehabilitation of musician's hearing health within the field of audiology.
