Ian Windmill, PhD

Dr. Windmill received his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Audiology from the Florida State University. He was Director of Audiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery from 1983-2008. From 2009-2014, he served as Chief of the Division of Communicative Sciences in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. From 2015-2022, Dr. Windmill served as Senior Clinical Director of Audiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Windmill is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a Past-President of the Academy. He is past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education. Dr. Windmill provides audiologic consultative services to practices, academic programs and industry. His interest areas are public policy related to hearing care and education of hearing health professionals.
