Carolyn Bower, Au.D., CNIM, BCS-IOM graduated with her B.A. in interdisciplinary studies from the University of CA at Santa Barbara in 2003. She went on to attend Auburn University where she obtained her clinical doctorate in audiology in 2008. In February 2016, Dr. Bower became co-owner and CEO of Neurodynamics, Inc., a company that exclusively provides neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring services (NIOM) to hospitals in the San Diego, CA area. Dr. Bower was the first audiologist in the country to obtain board certification in NIOM from the American Audiology Board of Intraoperative Monitoring (AABIOM). While Dr. Bower has extensive experience with spinal, peripheral, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and pediatric procedures; her specialty is monitoring challenging pediatric scoliosis correction procedures. Dr. Bower is the current president of the AABIOM. She has also been adjunct faculty at AT Still and has made several presentations at AudiologyNow!/AAA conferences.
