NIHR Clinical Academic fellow

My interest in the central and peripheral audiovestibular systems is driven by clinical care, research, and education. In 2022, I was awarded an NIHR clinical academic fellowship in neuro-audiology, allowing me to establish a research group and a neuro-audiovestibular lab at UCL Institute of Neurology. Our research focuses on translating science into effective audiovestibular assessment and rehabilitation for neurological patients, particularly those with stroke, Friedreich’s ataxia, spinocerebellar ataxia, mitochondrial diseases, and CANVAS. We aim to improve diagnosis and treatment to enhance patients' quality of life.
I completed my PhD in Neuro-Audiology at the UCL Ear Institute and have published in leading journals like Lancet Neurology and Movement Disorders. My work has been recognized with the Hallpike Prize and the Advancing Healthcare Rising Star Award. I lecture at UCL, supervise PhD and MSc students, and frequently present internationally on audiovestibular topics.
