Dr. Berenbrok is a pharmacist educator and researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. His work is centered on increasing patient access to health care services at community pharmacies. Since 2017, Dr. Berenbrok has been studying over-the-counter hearing aids and how community pharmacists can work collaboratively with hearing professionals to expand patient access to hearing health care. This work has lead to the creation of the first online OTC hearing aid training program for pharmacists and the Inaugural OTC Hearing Aid and Hearing Self-Care Symposium hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in 2024.
