Duncan Floyd has been an audiologist for almost 30 years and has practiced in Canada, China, and the USA. Duncan was the Clinical Coordinator for audiology and lecturer at Dalhousie University’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders for eleven years. In 2001, he helped Dalhousie with the formation of an audiology program (acting as clinic manager, preceptor, and lecturer) at the former West China University of Medical Sciences. He has worked in an ENT environment for the past twenty years. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles on acoustic immittance measures. He currently works in Halifax, Nova Scotia in an ENT clinic, is an adjunct professor at Dalhousie teaching acoustic immittance measures, and is co-owner of Accessible Hearing Solutions Inc. In 2023, Duncan authored a new textbook on audiometric masking: The Masking Handbook (For Audiometry). He lives in Bedford, Nova Scotia with family and enjoys playing hockey, music, books, and baseball.
