Abstract:
The session offers opportunities for everyone to collaborate, learn, and engage around strategies, implementation, and application of bringing together diverse voices committed to transformative environments when DEIB is ever-evolving. The DEIB Committee will review current issues and report on committee priorities, including follow up from the 2024 Recruitment Town Hall. Participants will then have the opportunity to engage in group discussion about expanding the audiology profession and challenges in clinical practice to supporting an inclusive community.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify current issues for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in audiology.
  • Discuss strategies for recruitment to expand and diversify AuD student bodies.
  • Generate meaningful discussion on issues of shared relevance in the space of inclusivity.
