Amelia Sarcar is a 3rd-year Audiology student at Louisana Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2022 with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minors in Human Development and Family Sciences and Medical Humanities. Amelia is an active member of the Student Academy of Audiology at LSUHSC, serving as the Social Media Elect from 2023-2024 and the Social Media Chair from 2024 to the present. She has participated in the following research projects that were presented as poster presentations at the 2024 Louisiana Academy of Audiology Annual Conference: “A Comparison Between Over-the-Counter Hearing Aids and Prescriptive Hearing Aids” and “Navigating Clinical Trends in Supervision of Communication Disorders Students.” Amelia intends to complete her 4th-year externship at the Southeastern Louisiana VA Health Care System in New Orleans, Louisiana, and her clinical interests include adult diagnostics, hearing aids, and vestibular disorders.
