Maryrose McInerney, PhD, CCC-A, is an Associate Teaching Professor and Graduate Program Director of the AuD program at Montclair State University. With over 40 years of experience, she specializes in pediatrics, amplification, and counseling for individuals with hearing loss and their families.
Dr. McInerney developed the audiology program at Hackensack Medical Center and co-founded Hackensack Audiology and Hearing Aid Associates. She led Open the Doors to Better Hearing and received the 2019 Academy of Audiology Outreach Grant. As Chair of the New Jersey Hearing Evaluation Council, she also represents it on the NJ Newborn Screening Advisory Review Committee. In 2022, she was elected to the National Academy of Practices – Audiology, and in 2023, she was named Audiologist of the Year by The Sound Start Foundation. Her current research focuses on EHDI program intervention outcomes, follow-up adherence, and predictors of care continuity.
