Shiwon Choi is a dedicated and accomplished scholar with a rich background in neurosciences and audiology. He obtained his degree in Neurosciences from the University of Montreal, where he developed a keen interest in the complex workings of sensory organs and the cardiovascular system. Currently, Shiwon is furthering his expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Audiology at the same institution, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of auditory conditions.
Shiwon’s research experience is both diverse and impressive, including cardiology, vision science. In a cardiology lab, Shiwon conducted research on atherosclerosis using mouse models. Additionally, his work in a vision science lab involved exploring the effects of nicotine on binocular vision, showcasing a high interest in sensory-related reasearch.
Currently, Shiwon is actively involved in research under the mentorship of Sylvie Hébert. His current project focuses on the relationship between autonomic reactivity and tinnitus perception.
