Dr. Raggio is a Professor of Audiology at San Francisco State University. She earned her BA and MS degrees from the Communicative Disorders Program at San Francisco State University and her PhD in Auditory Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Raggio served on the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board from 2012-2023. She recently completed her three-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Audiology as a Member-at-Large. Her past area of research was in the cortical representation of peripheral electrical stimulation provided by cochlear implants. She recently launched the SFSU-UCSF Auditory Laboratory where she works with students on the study of mechanisms that underlie the understanding of speech in noise. She has published numerous research articles, and has given many presentations at the state, national, and international levels.
