Fawen Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati. She received her medical degrees in Medicine and Otolaryngology in China and PhD in Audiology from the University of South Alabama in the USA. She also completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa. Since 2007, she has been a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. She teachings courses in the AuD and PhD programs. Her research focus on the neural mechanisms of hearing using electrophysiological techniques in individuals with hearing impairment including cochlear implant users.
