Brianna Angel is a fourth-year Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences undergraduate at San Diego State University. A first-generation student from San Diego, her experience as a caregiver for her minimally speaking, autistic older brother has inspired her advocacy for equitable healthcare and support for the neurodevelopmentally disabled community. Brianna serves as president of SDSU's National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter, leading initiatives on neurodiversity and inclusion. In the Community-Engaged Research for Communication Access (CERCA) Lab, she leads a project focused on noise exposure and hearing loss in farmworker communities. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she uses her bilingual communication skills to serve diverse populations. Brianna is also a trainee in the San Diego Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Related Disabilities (San Diego LEND) program, receiving specialized training in neurodevelopmental disabilities. Her dedication to both research and advocacy reflects her commitment to making a significant impact in audiology.
