Tiana Dixon, M.A. CCC-SLP is a second-year Audiology student at Gallaudet University. She previously worked as a speech-language pathologist in residential schools for the deaf as well as auditory/oral settings. As an SLP, Tiana addressed language development in children who are deaf and hard of hearing using a variety of communication modalities (American Sign Language, spoken English, Augmentative Alternative Communication). She decided to obtain a degree in audiology to work more closely with families navigating a hearing loss diagnosis. Her interests in the field of audiology center around pediatric amplification including hearing aids and cochlear implants.
