Nafeesah Mahomed, BA Audiology

Miss Mahomed is the Head of Audiology at hearConnect (Pty) Ltd., committed to raising awareness about hearing loss, improving access to audiology services, and advocating for compliance to minimize fraud, waste and abuse.

She currently manages audiology services for over 1.3 million insured patients and is the first Audiologist to design and implement an Outcome-Based Hearing Loss Treatment Program in South Africa.

With experience in the public sector, she worked in a rural clinic treating underserved patients and spearheading multiple outreach projects.

Additionally, she mentors and coach’s student-led NPO’s and volunteers with non-profit organizations focused on audiology services.
