Dr. Chris Waterworth is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His career aims to improve healthcare access in low and middle-income countries through training, education, research, and advocacy. Dr. Waterworth's main interests include health systems strengthening through workforce development and integrating rehabilitation into primary care. His PhD focused on barriers and opportunities for developing ear and hearing care in Cambodia. Over several years, he has served as a lecturer, advisor, researcher, clinical audiologist, and supervisor. As an Internationalization lead of his Department, Dr. Waterworth aims to build collaborative global teaching, learning, and research activities, enhancing the university's global impact in audiology. He serves as Chair of the Executive board of the Global OHNS Initiative, driving initiatives to strengthen equitable access to audiology services worldwide. He is absolutely delighted to be able to speak at the AAA conference.
