Shelby Redfield, MS CGC, is a genetic counselor in the department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Boston Children’s Hospital and a member of the Translational Hearing Genomics Lab. She completed her training at the Boston University Genetic Counseling Program in 2021. Her clinical practice brings personalized, compassionate genetic counseling and testing to patients and families with sensorineural hearing loss. Her research interests include hearing loss gene discovery, the expansion of known phenotypic spectrums of rare genetic conditions, and the identification of novel variants in hearing loss genes using cutting-edge sequencing technologies.
