Dr. Shannon L. Austin earned her Au.D. from Ball State University in 2003 and holds an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana State University. Her extensive experience includes fifteen years in ENT audiology, six years teaching undergraduate audiology at Butler University, and three years as an Account Executive with a leading hearing aid manufacturer. Passionate about education, she has mentored and supervised audiology students from Ball State, Purdue, and Indiana University.
She is dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate hearing care, valuing the deep connections she forms with her patients and their families. Opening SLA Audiology in 2021 marked the fulfillment of her dream to establish a private practice with a mission to transform the standards of hearing healthcare in her community. Dr. Austin enjoys family life with her husband and their two daughters.
