Richard E. Gans, PhD is a past President of AAA (2004-05) and has for 30 years been an internationally recognized thought leader, educator, clinician and researcher in vestibular-balance topics. He has presented and/or published over 150 papers in 40 countries. As a leader in the forefront of the AuD degree he served as an Adjunct Professor for the leading universities teaching vestibular courses both for the transitional and traditional programs. Dr. Gans is the Founder of the American Institute of Balance one of the country's largest neurodiagnostic and rehabilitation organizations with 70 locations in 12 states and 15,000 AIB Certified professionals nationwide. Since 1998, AIB has provided externships for 60 AuD students and offers an International Vestibular Medicine Fellowship to ENT physicans and audiologists.
