Dr. Laura was born with a progressive hearing loss, and is currently a bilateral hearing aid user. She graduated from Auburn University with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008. She then completed Auburn's Doctor of Audiology program, graduating in 2012. Since that time, she has been named an Orlando Magazine Woman of the Year (2020), had publications featured in The Hearing Journal, and been a presenter for AudiologyOnline. She just finished serving as the 2024 President of the Audiology Practice Standards Organization. She currently serves as the Vice President of Communications for the Florida Academy of Audiology (FLAA). Dr. Laura founded Citrus Hearing Clinic in 2018 in order to better serve her home community with Best Practice Audiology services for all ages.
