Clinical Instructor of Occupational Therapy
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans
LSUHSC New Orleans

Before my recent transition to academia, I've spent 10 years practicing within an interdisciplinary team comprising of specialists in otology/neurology, audiology, and physical therapy. With a specialty interest in vestibular rehabilitation, I have continued these collaborative efforts with the audiology department. I have facilitated an interdisciplinary project to train the audiology students in falls screening, functional mobility, and transfer training. I work closely with the clinical audiology team to streamline client care and contribute to ongoing research efforts, aiming to enhance our understanding of our clinical practice specialty. I have integrated concepts of hearing and balance, along with their impact on function, throughout the occupational therapy curriculum. Although new to academia and research, I am motivated to leverage my clinical expertise to expand the contribution of occupational therapy to the hearing and balance community.
