Dr. Carla “Brandi” Smiley, Au.D., CCC-A, is the visionary behind the nation’s first Tiny House Hearing Clinic on Wheels, launched in Georgia to expand access to audiologic care. She earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University, her Doctor of Audiology degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2006 (Magna Cum Laude), and a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University in 2022. Her practice delivers mobile and on-site services in partnership with early intervention programs, State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies, Veteran agencies, Head Start centers, disability organizations, occupational conservation programs, and community non-profit organizations. Dr. Smiley serves as ASHA Georgia Audiology Ambassador (2024–2026), Co-Chair of the 2025 ASHA Convention Planning Council, and a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. A Georgia native, she is married, a bonus mother, and fur mom to a Yorkshire Terrier.
