Elaine Mormer is professor of Audiology and Vice Chair for Clinical Education in CSD at the University of Pittsburgh. She has collaborated with Dr. Lucas Berenbrok, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, to develop an online curriculum preparing pharmacy students and professionals with skills and knowledge in hearing, hearing loss, and OTC hearing aids. In 2023, this online course was licensed to the American Pharmacists Association. Dr. Mormer was a co-host of the University of Pittsburgh 2024 Inaugural Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid and Self-Care Symposium, bringing together pharmacists and hearing healthcare professionals to discuss interprofessional collaborative opportunities around hearing loss and hearing care. Dr. Mormer earned the 2020 American Academy of Audiology Outstanding Educator Award.
