Abstract: There are causal associations between resilient leaders and high emotional intelligence. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize and manage one’s own emotions, as well as understanding and influence the emotions of others. Resilient leaders are masters in dealing with crises and adapting to new situations. This session is intended to provide participants with tools to inculcate EI principles into their leadership style(s). Leaving participants better equipped to inspire and motivate their employees, leading to increased productivity and better work-life balance.

Define emotional intelligence (EI) including its constructs; Enumerate verbal communication skills used in EI.
List non-verbal communications skills used in EI; Describe three general EI skills/tools.
Identify benefits of having high EI; Explain ways to practically apply EI skills in the workplace.
